The Reclaim Justice Foundation stands as a beacon of hope and support for those who have suffered in silence, tirelessly working to empower the hidden victims of injustice to step into the light and pursue the justice they deserve.
Below, we highlight some pivotal cases that have helped define our mission and underscore our commitment to advocacy and change.

Simon Pompan
In June 2023, Janelle attended a professional work event, anticipating a safe and conducive environment. Shockingly, she found herself victim to a spiked drink and subsequent sexual assault perpetrated by the CEO of the company hosting the event. The traumatic experience took a toll on her mental health, prompting a period of significant challenges.
It was during a conversation with a supportive friend that Janelle contemplated the potential danger the assailant posed to other individuals. Encouraged by her friend to seek legal advice and prevent further harm to others, Janelle made the courageous decision to hire a lawyer and pursue justice, aiming to hold the perpetrator accountable for his actions and protect potential future victims.

Harvey Weinstein
Harvey Weinstein, a powerful Hollywood producer, used his influence to sexually harass and assault numerous women over many years. His case was a catalyst for the global #MeToo movement, encouraging survivors of sexual assault, especially in the workplace, to come forward. The Weinstein case shed light on the systemic issue of sexual harassment in the entertainment industry and beyond. It highlighted how power dynamics and institutional complicity can create environments where abusers operate with impunity. Following Weinstein’s conviction, there has been a noticeable shift in Hollywood and other industries, with a greater emphasis on accountability, transparency, and the establishment of more robust policies against sexual harassment and assault.

Jeffrey Epstein
Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier with powerful connections, faced allegations of sexually abusing numerous underage girls over many years. His case is a glaring example of how wealth and influence can manipulate legal and social systems. Epstein’s initial 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor for prostitution resulted in a controversially lenient sentence, reflecting deep flaws in the legal system’s handling of sex crimes, especially involving influential figures. The renewed investigation in 2019, which led to his arrest on federal charges of sex trafficking, opened the public’s eyes to the extent of his crimes and his network of high-profile associates.
While Epstein’s death in 2019 meant that he did not face a trial for his most serious charges, the revelations about his crimes have had far-reaching implications. They have prompted a re-examination of institutional practices around safeguarding and reporting of sexual crimes, and a growing recognition of the importance of listening to and supporting survivors. Epstein’s case continues to serve as a stark reminder of the pervasive issue of sexual abuse and exploitation within powerful networks and the ongoing work required to dismantle these systems of abuse.

R. Kelly
R. Kelly, a famous R&B singer, faced numerous allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct spanning several decades. These allegations culminated in a series of legal battles, with charges including sexual assault, abuse of minors, and sex trafficking. His high-profile trials brought to light a pattern of predatory behavior, where Kelly used his fame and influence to exploit and manipulate young women and underage girls. The public outcry following these revelations reflected a growing intolerance for sexual abuse, regardless of the perpetrator’s status.
Kelly’s case is significant in highlighting how celebrity can shield such behavior and the importance of accountability, no matter the individual’s public standing. It also underscores the need for institutional changes in the music industry to safeguard vulnerable individuals and support survivors.

Jimmy Savile
Jimmy Savile was a well-known British TV presenter and philanthropist, whose extensive charity work and high-profile connections shielded his predatory actions. For decades, Savile abused hundreds of individuals, many of whom were children and young people, across various institutions including hospitals, schools, and the BBC. The breadth of his abuse, which came to light only after his death, shocked the public and exposed a glaring lack of safeguarding within these institutions. The Savile scandal led to serious introspection within the UK’s broadcasting and healthcare sectors, prompting improvements in safeguarding and reporting mechanisms, and highlighting the need for rigorous background checks, irrespective of an individual’s public stature.
